When human pheromones won't work for Men

In a very few cases human pheromones containing androstenol and androstenone do not work for men as a sex attractor. The reasons why are unclear, although it has been noted in research that about 30% of people are unable to detect rank body odor resulting from the prolonged reaction of androstenone with micro-bacteria on the skin - so is suggestive that they are unable to detect pure androstenone period.

Subsequent research work though has confirmed that sensitivity to androstenone can be "acquired" through regular exposure to these human pheromones. In experimental work, which has now since been duplicated and the findings corroborated, research scientists Joel Mainland and Noam Sobel at the University of Berkeley discovered that repetitive exposure to androstenone effectively teaches the brain to recognize it. In the majority of cases, sensitivity to the chemical was doubled.
